...presents here, her pictural expression of the Stabat Mater, inspired by the contemporary musical interpretation from the Swiss composer, Jean-Claude Schlaepfer.
Stabat Mater: is a Christian hymn composed in the thirteenth century, which evokes the suffering of the Virgin Mother at the moment of Christ's crucifixion. The Stabat Mater was attributed to the Italian Franciscan Jacpone da Todi and has served as inspiration and support to many composers including Antonia Vivaldi, Domenico Scarlatti, Jean-Baptiste Pergolèse, Jospeph Haydn, Franz Schubert, Gioacchino Rossini, Giuseppi Verdi, Antonin Dvorak, Francis Poulenc.
